Gravis Capital Partners LLP (GCP) is a specialist investment advisory firm formed in May 2008. It currently manages assets with a principal value in excess of £400 million.
GCP is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
Infrastructure
GCP is the Investment Adviser to GCP Infrastructure Investments Limited and GCP Infrastructure Fund Limited.
In the last five years, the partners of GCP have provided capital structuring advice in relation to infrastructure projects with an aggregate capital value in excess of £1 billion, of which a majority involved the provision of subordinated (or mezzanine) debt.
Student accommodation
GCP has significant experience in structuring and funding student accommodation schemes with over £250m invested in the last 3 years in London, Manchester, Norwich, Brighton and Exeter.
GCP has established a private student accommodation fund to invest in assets primarily in London where the demand/supply imbalance is strongest. The seed assets for this fund are currently under construction and will be operated under the brand Scape. The first asset is expected to open in 2012 opposite Queen Mary, University of London.
Zero coupon bonds
The partners of GCP have advised on and structured a number of zero coupon bonds secured against infrastructure assets and commercial property over the past 10 years. The CJC Zero Coupon Bond Fund provides investors with access to a prime asset of this type.
Affordable housing
GCP have developed an affordable housing funding model which enable RSLs and Local Authorities to increase housing provision without recourse to public funds. Rents for these units will be set more than 20% below market rents, within the Universal Credit caps.
